Annotated Bibliography of Indigenous Australian Alcohol and Other Drug Use |
OverviewThe Annotated Bibliography is a relational-file, bibliographic database that contains references, keywords and brief annotations for over 600 items on Indigenous Australian substance use. The database allows you to search for items by authors, titles, or keywords, and results of searches can be viewed on your screen, printed out in customized reports, or saved as HTML files which can later be opened in a word processor.
The database is designed so that you can do multiple searches, and can build up custom lists of references of interest to you. You can conduct very broad searches on a topic, such as alcohol, or can search for items on a very specific topic, such as all items regarding alcohol and diabetes. The annotations and keywords will give you an indication of whether or not an item may be useful for your purposes.
Each screen in the database contains a Help button. Clicking on this button will display on-line help for the screen you are currently using. Before searching the database for the first time, we recommend that you read the information contained in these screens. In particular, we recommend that you read about our Thesaurus for an explanation on how to best search for items using keywords.
